Advocating for positive old age
UNFPA’s advocacy on ageing led to the inclusion of this issue in the 11th Malaysia Plan, and the government recognizing the Malaysian Research Institute on Ageing (MyAgeing™) as the main reference point for ageing issues. We will continue to promote community collaboration as a sustainable measure to address the growing ageing issues in Malaysia, especially given the high investment it requires and taking advantage of the growing youth demographic dividend.
